Peppermill Pride
The Peppermill Tradition started humbly in the Fort Niobrara Hotel and Peppermill Café on Main Street.  My grandparents, William and Betty Joseph, found excellence on the steak grill and dedicated themselves to a high standard of service.  My father, Roger Joseph, was also committed to service and maintained an incredible aging program that assured the strength of the Peppermill reputation.  Now, as the third generation, I have been trusted to continue the tradition.  The following entrées are handcrafted by over three decades of experience and are the pillars of our success.

The Mulligan
Our signature Center Cut Sirloin, named for my great grandfather, John Mulligan, has always been a local favorite.  This steak isn’t that stiff little “boot sole” you had in the city; this is the best of Nebraska Beef.

Our Premium Angus Rib Eye steak sets the standard not only at the Peppermill, but at branding dinners throughout the Sand Hills.  This cut is the crossroads of tenderness and flavor.

Our Filet of Tenderloin has always been the cut for celebrations.  Whether it’s a diamond anniversary or you just made it through a rocky Wednesday, the EKV will be personally selected and hand cut for your special day.

From Las Vegas, Nevada to Orlando, Florida, we’ve met people who know Valentine, Nebraska for three things…tubing the Niobrara River, hunting in the Sand Hills, and that Peppermill Prime Rib.




Fort Niobrara’s Last Stand
Choose a full pound of perfectly grilled Rib Eye or a Slow-Cooked Slab of Prime Rib.  Then we’ll pile on the mashed potatoes, gravy, sautéed mushrooms and fried onion tanglers.  Two mozzarella sticks stand guard on the side.  Served with a garden salad if you dare.



All Entrees served with choice of…
Baked Potato, Ridge Fries, Steak Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Wild Rice, or Steamed Vegetables.
